Prof. Tal Schwartz is an
experimental physicist and faculty member at the Physical Chemistry Department,
Tel Aviv University. He earned his PhD in Physics from the Technion (2008)
under the supervision of
Prof. Moti Segev. As a
Clore Fellow,
his PhD research led to the first observation of Anderson localization in
disordered photonic lattices. He conducted his postdoctoral training at the
University of Strasbourg with
Prof. Thomas Ebbesen as a Rothschild and Chateaubriand Fellow, focusing on
light-matter strong coupling in organic cavities. In 2012, he joined Tel Aviv
University, where he established the Laboratory for Molecular Nano-Optics. His
research interests include polaritonics, nonlinear optics, ultrafast
spectroscopy, and transport phenomena. He also loves cats (small and big) and
rock music.
